Michael Haneke’s latest film stars Jean-Louis Trintignant, Emmanuelle Riva and Isabelle Huppert and explores the aftermath of a stroke and its effect on an elderly couple.
This will be the third time SPC has collaborated with Haneke after Cache and Palme d’Or winner The White Ribbon. SPC brokered the deal with Films Du Losange.
Stefan Arndt, Veit Heiduschka and Margaret Ménégoz produced the film with Austrian co-producer Michael Katz.
“I’m delighted that our fruitful collaboration with Sony Pictures Classics continues also with Amour,” Haneke said.
