The buy takes Robert Redford’s thriller off the table ahead of its world premiere out of competition in Venice and subsequent Toronto screening.

Redford directed and produced the tale of a former radical activist on the run from a reporter who threatens to expose his violent past. Shia LeBoeuf, Anna Kendrick, Richard Jenkins and Brit Marling (pictured) also star.

Voltage Pictures financed The Company You Keep and handles international sales. Voltage chief Nicolas Chartier produced with Bill Holderman.

SPC negotiated the acquisition with CAA behalf of the filmmakers.
