The Munich-based outfit will start by co-distributing StreetDance 3D with Universum Film in June.
German licence trader SquareOne Entertainment is making a foray into the German theatrical market this summer.
Initially, the Munich-based outfit will co-distribute StreetDance 3D with Universum Film with a release date of June 3.
A second release will be the current French box office hit, the comedy L’Arnacoeur by Pascal Chaumeil, in the autumn with an as-yet-unnamed partner.
SquareOne Entertainment was established in 2002 by industry veteran Al Munteanu as an all-rights buyer of commercial films for German-speaking Europe.
Recent acquisitions have included Jonathan Liebesman’s Experiment Killing Room, the Ridley Scott production Tell-Tale and the horror comedy Lesbian Vampire Killers.
