Frankfurt-based Pro-Fun has acquired all German-speaking territories and has scheduled an autumn release.

The film charts the burgeoning relationship between a young man and a person going through the process of transforming from woman to man. Romeos premiered in Berlin’s Panorama section earlier this year.

The deal concluded on the eve of the 35th edition of the San Francisco Frameline Film Festival where i is screening. Strand co-president Jon Gerrans negotiated the deal with Ida Martins of Media Luna New Films.
