Summit Entertainment will release Snitch starring Dwayne Johnson in the US, it emerged in Cannes on Monday afternoon [16].

Johnson plays a devoted father who goes undercover to bring down a drug kingpin and save his teenage son from a long prison sentence under mandatory drug laws.

Exclusive Media, Participant Media and Imagenation Abu Dhabi co-financed the project and Justin Haythe wrote the screenplay. Johnson and his producing partner Dany Garcia serve as executive producers with Frontline’s David Fanning.
