Sundance Selects has taken worldwide rights to AJ Schnack’s documentary Convention and will release theatrically in select cities in June following a nationwide VOD roll-out on May 12.

Schnack and a host of directors including Steven Bognar, Daniel Junge, Laura Poitras, Julia Reichert and David Wilson shot the behind-the-scenes film during the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver.

Lizzie Nastro negotiated the deal on behalf of Sundance Selects with Andrew Herwitz of The Film Sales Company.

Jennifer Chikes, Britta Erickson, Shirley Moyers, Schnack and Nathan Truesdell produced.
