Svensk’s sales arm SF International has sold Bille August’s new feature Marie Krøyer to Greece (Hollywood) and to CIS (Cinema Prestige). The film will be released in Sweden by Svensk in the late autumn.
The film tells the story of the unhappy marriage between Marie Krøyer and Danish painter P.S. Kroyer.
SF is screening selected scenes from Lasse Hallstrom’s The Hypnotist (due for release in Sweden in October), which is still available for the US, Japan, Mexico and one or two other small territories.
The film, the first in its series of Lars Kepler adaptations, has already pre-sold throughout most of the rest of the world. Deals closed include Spain (Aurum), Germany (Prokino), Benelux (Lumiere), UK (StudioCanal), Australia (EOne), Argentina (Alpha), Greece (Rosebud), Israel (Lev), Italy (Bim), China (Edko), Hong Kong (UA) and many others.
Meanwhile, documentary Liv & Ingmar is being targeted at autumn festivals and is screening in the market.
