Universal Pictures has set June 26 2015 as the release date for its sequel to highest grossing original R-rated comedy of all time.

Seth MacFarlane returns as writer, director and co-star in the Universal and Media Rights Capital project.

Mark Wahlberg also returns to the fray as do MacFarlane’s co-writers Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild.

MacFarlane produces alongside Bluegrass Films’ Scott Stuber as well as John Jacobs and Jason Clark. 

Ted opened in June 2012 and went on to gross $218.8m in North America, $330.6m internationally and $549.4m worldwide.
