NBCUniversal Spanish-language content division Telemundo Media has launched Isa, the first original feature to hail from its new multi-format, multiplatform production studio Fluency.
The 80-minute made-for-multi-format film starring Jeanette Samano will be available in June via mobile, digital, VOD and television platforms.
Isa’s exclusive category sponsor Samsung Telecommunications America (Samsung Mobile) has integrated smartphones and tablets into scenes throughout the film.
The coming-of-age story with supernatural elements features characters using Samsung smartphones.
“US Hispanics are more digitally savvy than any other group, are passionate about films and want fresh, original stories that reflect the world of today and tomorrow, both multiplatform and multi-cultural,” said Telemundo Media evp of digital media and emerging businesses Peter Blacker.
“Fluency and its debut film Isa will give viewers the power to connect with characters they can relate to, on the platform and schedule of their choosing.”
