Munich-based sales company Telepool reports that this year’s European Film Market (EFM) was “a very successful market” with further deals concluded for Feo Aladag’s award-winning When We Leaveand “great interest” shown by buyers from the US in Lars Kraume’s futuristic thriller The Days To Come.
Aladag’s debut feature, which received seven awards from the German Film Critics Assocation during the Berlinale, has now been sold to Romania (NCCR) and Taiwan (Cineplex), while Marc Rothemund’s romantic comedy Single By Contract went to South Korea’s Linetree Entertainment.
Stefan Ruzowitzky’s family film Lilly The Witch – The Dragon and the Magic Book was picked up by MG Films for ex-Yugoslavia and Entermode Corp. for South Korea. MG Films also secured the rights to the sequel Lilly The Witch – The Journey To Mandolan by Harald Sicheritz which was theatrically released by Walt Disney Motion Pictures in Germany on Feb 17.
In addition, Telepool presold its stereo 3D animation project 7 Dwarves – The 7th Dwarf to SWEN Entertainment for distribution through Latin America.
