Taye Diggs, Nia Long, Morris Chestnut, Harold Perrineau, Terrence Howard, Sanaa Lathan, Monica Calhoun, Melissa De Sousa and Regina Hall will reprise their roles nearly 14 years after the original hit theatres.

The story will follow the college friends as they reunite over the December holiday period and ignite old rivalries and romances.

Malcolm D Lee returns to write and direct the second instalment to his directorial debut and the film is scheduled to open on Nov 15.

The original opened in North America on Oct 22 1999 and grossed $34.1m.

Sean Daniel of The Sean Daniel Company will produce alongside Lee.
