TLA Releasing has acquired UK and US rights for Benjamin Cantu’s German drama
Harvest (Stadt Land Fluss), about the relationship between two young apprentices working on an agricultural complex near Berlin, picked up the Siegessäule Audience Award at this year’s Berlin Film Festival 2011.
The deal was negotiated between TLA UK Operations Manager Adam Silver and Salzgeber’s Head of International Sales Daniel Ammann.
TLA President Derek Curl said: “Harvest is truly poetic - a stunning portrait of love and longing set
against the hum-drum reality of rural German life. We are looking forward to bringing this to the
English-speaking audience.”
Daniel Ammann of Salzgeber & Co. Medien Gmbh added: “We are really excited to be bringing this
beautiful film to US and UK audiences through TLA and we hope that it gets a similar reaction to
the fantastic response we’ve had on the festival circuit.”
Harvest is released theatrically in Germany this weekend.
