Spain and Latin America among the latest territories to Guiseppe Tornatore’s Italian box office success.
uMedia’s sales arm uConnect, headed up by Peter Rogers, has further sold Giuseppe Tornatore’s The Best Offer, which has taken €8.7m ($11.6m) as of Feb 17 in Italy.
Deals have been secured with Spain (Filmax), Latin America (Swen), Greece (Feelgood), Israel (Forum) and Korea (Mirovision), as well as with Pris for Portugal, Prime Pictures for the Middle East and MCF for the former Yugoslavia.
Tornatore’s love story starring Geoffrey Rush, Jim Sturgess and Donald Sutherland had previously sold to Warner Bros for Italy, Germany and Austria, Transmission for Australia, Gaga for Japan and Cascade for Russia.
The Best Offer was produced by Isabella Cocuzza and Arturo Paglia of Paco Cinematografica in association with Warner Bros Entertainment Italy.
