Universal has picked up worldwide rights to Joel and Ethan Coen’s latest original screenplay, Hail, Caesar!
Coens regulars George Clooney and Josh Brolin will star in the story, reportedly about a 1950s Hollywood fixer.
The Coens will direct and produce through their Mike Zoss Productions label alongside Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan for Working Title Films.
This will mark the eighth time the filmmakers have collaborated with Working Title.
CBS Films distributed the Coens’ most recent film, last season’s awards contender Inside Llewyn Davis. It earned $13.2m in North America and $32.9m internationally through StudioCanal licensees.
