Universal Pictures Home Entertainment (UPHE) has signed a deal to distribute Paramount’s physical Blu-ray and DVD home entertainment product.
The five-year deal builds on the existing relationship between UPHE and Paramount Home Entertainment (PHE) in select territories and commences in the UK on July 1.
UPHE will assume responsibility for select other territories over time.
“Universal Pictures has been a terrific partner over the years,” said Paramount Pictures vice-chairman Rob Moore (pictured). “We believe this new strategic agreement will create an important opportunity for us to strengthen our international distribution business during this transformative time in the home entertainment space.”
