UPI will handle physical distribution of eight Premium films including Jackie Chan’s Chinese Zodiac and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Last Stand.

UPI Russia has inked a deal with Premium Film to handle physical theatrical distribution of eight films in Russia and CIS countries (excluding Ukraine).

The first major release will be Jackie Chan’s Chinese Zodiac, the next instalment in the Armor of God franchise. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Last Stand, his first leading role in his acting comeback, will follow. Scary Movie 5 is also on the slate. 

“When choosing a partner it was very important for us that UPI Russia very carefully consider the specifics of the Russian market when distributing large scale movies,” said Aram Hovhannisyan, marketing director of Premium Film.

Premium Film’s releases include Mr. Nobody (2010), Pina (2011) and My Week With Marilyn (2012).
