Radiant Films International president and CEO Mimi Steinbauer (pictured) has struck a deal for all rights outside the US and Canada on Tom Shadyac’s life affirming documentary.
“I Am is a film that resonates beautifully with audiences looking for a smart and entertaining look at life themes that affect all of us’” Steinbauer said. “We are delighted that Universal Pictures International Entertainment has recognised the potential of this film.”
“Universal Pictures International Entertainment is pleased to be working with Radiant Films to release I Am internationally,” Universal International Entertainment president Eddie Cunningham said. “This inspirational feature is a welcome addition to our documentary collection.”
Shadyac, whose directorial credits include Bruce Almighty, Liar Liar and Ace Ventura, made I Am after he suffered a traumatic bike accident in 2007. The documentary investigates what is wrong with the world and how to fix it and features interviews with Noam Chomsky and Archbishop Desmond Tutu among others. Paladin handled the 2011 US release.
Radiant’s slate includes Andrew Levitas’ drama Lullaby.
