Oct 21 release for Will, starring Damian Lewis and Bob Hoskins

UK production and distribution outfit Vertigo has picked up football drama Will, starring Damian Lewis and Bob Hoskins, and will release on Oct 21.

Will tells the story of an eleven-year-old boy (Perry Eggleton) whose life is turned upside down when his long-absent father (Damian Lewis) reappears with tickets to the 2005 Champions League Final in Istanbul, between Liverpool  FC and AC Milan.

The film features cameos from Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish, and footballers Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher.

The co-production between Istanbul based GalataFilm and LA/UK-based Strangelove Films was written by Zack Anderson and Ellen Perry who also makes her feature directorial debut. Producers on the film were Altayli, Perry and Anderson, Stewart Till, Stephen Moffitt, Mustafa Karahan, Muharrem Gulmez, Timothy Nicholas and Mark Cooper.
