Deal gives NonStop channels the rights to more than 50 Warner Bros. features and TV programmes.
NonStop Television, the sibling of Swedish sales and distribution outfits NonStop Sales and NonStop Entertainment, has signed a new agreement with Warner Bros. to show the studio’s features and TV programmes on their Showtime and TNT7 channels.
Included under the terms of the deal are titles such as iconic horror The Exorcist, The Goonies and TV series Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, created by Aaron Sorkin.
The multiyear deal was announced today by Ignas Scheynius, CEO, NonStop Television and Managing Director of Turner Broadcasting System in the Nordic and Baltic region, and Jeffrey R. Schlesinger, President, Warner Bros. International Television.
“The deal with Warner Bros. is yet another step in strengthening our line up for TNT7 and Showtime. Our channels are now loaded with great content for 2011 and 2012,” said Scheynius.
Schlesinger added: “We are happy to be supporting Turner’s new partners in Scandanavia with this line up of films and TV series.”
