Tai Chi Hero is the second in a trilogy from director Stephen Fung, Detective Dee And The Mystery Of Phantom Flame producer Chen Kuofu and action director Sammo Hung.
The first film in the series, Tai Chi Zero (pictured), opened on Friday (19) in North America and Tai Chi Hero is scheduled to open in early 2013.
The latter will star key cast from the first film including Jayden Yuan, Tony Leung Kar-fa, Eddie Peng and Angelababy alongside new arrivals Peter Stormare and Daniel Wu.
The story takes place during a wedding as a martial arts master suspects something is wrong with his recently returned son.

Cinedigm has picked up all US rights to Call Me Kuchu, a documentary about David Kato, the first openly gay Ugandan man whose status resulted in murder. The film will open in theatres in early 2013 followed by VoD, premium digital, DVD and TV. Katherine Fairfax Wright and Malika Zouhali-Worrall’s film won the Teddy Award (Best Documentary) and the Cinema Fairbindet Prize at the 2012 Berlinale, among other awards.
