Wolfe Releasing has bulked up its DVD and VOD library with four titles as it continues to build alternative platforms for gay and lesbian filmmakers.
Wolfe Video will release Mr Right, And Then Came Lola, Boy, and Hollywood Je T’Aime simultaneously through Wolfe Video on DVD and VOD.
Jacqui and David Morris’ Mr Right is a British feature about the ups and downs of a quartet of partners, while And Then Came Lola from Ellen Seidler and Megan Siler is described as a “fast-paced, sexy, lesbian romp” loosely inspired by Run Lola Run.
Jason Bushman’s Hollywood Je T’aime is styled as a meditation on love and narcissism set appropriately in Los Angeles, while Boy from Auraeus Solito, is about a teenage poet’s sexual awakening.
“This new level of distribution is unprecedented for LGBT cinema,” Wolfe president Maria Lynn said, adding: “Via emerging digital distribution opportunities and our distribution relationships, Wolfe is able to afford filmmakers mainstream distribution channels but with the educated niche marketing and publicity support for greatest exposure and market penetration.”
