Paramount executives said on Monday [29] they will re-release World War Z in North America in IMAX 3D for a one-week run beginning Aug 2.

The studio financed the zombie apocalypse thriller starring Brad Pitt with Skydance Productions in association with Hemisphere Media Capital and produced in association with GK Films.

World War Z has grossed more than $470m worldwide and $192.6m in North America since its initial release on Jun 21. 

The film screened in 3D in North America and had several IMAX releases in select international markets but until now has not opened on IMAX in North America.
