Warner Bros International Television executive Malcolm Dudley-Smith will return to his native Australia as the company’s svp and general manager, Asia Pacific.
Based in Sydney, Dudley-Smith will manage the strategic direction of distribution operations throughout Asia in all television media, including free, basic, pay as well as the digital ad-supported and SVoD business.
Dudley-Smith will report to Warner Bros International Television’s (WBITD) svp, sales, Canada, Asia Pacific and Latin America, Jim Brehm.
Additionally, he will help drive local production strategies throughout the region and oversee the ongoing roll out of WarnerTV Asia, WBITD’s linear branded service in the region.
“With Malcolm taking this position, we are able to align our traditional linear licensing, our channels business and our new non-linear licensing business under one experienced senior executive,” said WBITD president Jeffrey R Schlesinger.
Dudley-Smith is a 19-year veteran of the studio who has served as evp of business management, branded services since 2007.
