Italian independent distributor Eagle Pictures has confirmed prestigious pick-ups from the EFM.
They include the thriller Skyline from IM Global directed by special effects whizzes Colin and Greg Strause. The Strause brothers have provided their effects expertise on Avatar, 2012, 300 and The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button among others.
Eagle also nabbed Richard Berry’s Marseilles-set 22 Bullets (L’Immortel) staring Jean Reno as a true-life former criminal who tries to set his life back on the straight and narrow from EuropaCorp.
As previously reported, Eagle also picked up The Other Woman from Studio Canal - the film is from the same creative team, Eli Roth and Strike Entertainment that is behind The Last Exorcism (previously called Cotton) as well as the action film How I Spent My Summer Vacation from Icon Entertainment International starring Mel Gibson.
One of Italy’s most established distributors - five out of the top ten foreign releases for 2009 (excluding US films) were Eagle distributed pictures.
