UK sales outfit goes back to its “feelgood” comedy roots with new Peter Cattaneo feature.
UK sales outfit Ealing International is getting back into feelgood comedy with What The Puck, the latest feature from Peter Cattaneo (The Full Monty).
Scripted by Geoff Deane, the film is billed as the story of father and son’s journey to mend their broken hearts after a messy divorce. Set against the backdrop of the World Junior Ice Hockey Championships in Canada, the film is set to shoot later this year.
Ealing has also confirmed several pre- sales on John Landis’ comedy Burke & Hare, which started shooting in the UK last week. Starring Andy Serkis, Isla Fisher, Jessica Hynes, Tom Wilkinson and Tim Curry, it has soled to the UK (Entertainment Film Distributors), Canada (Maple Pictures), France (Fabrique de Films) Greece (Odeon S.A.) , the Middle East (Prime Pictures), Australia/New Zealnad (Transmission) and Cinesky for airlines.
Burke & Hare is produced by Barnaby Thompson , executive produced by Nigel Green, James Spring, Paul Brett, Tim Smith and is written by Piers Ashworth and Nick Moorcroft.
Comedy sequel St Trinians 2: The Legend Of Fritton’s Gold will also receive its market debut. Sales already been closed for Australia (Village Roadshow), Scandinavia (Scanbox), CIS (Daro), the Middle East (Prime Pictures) and Cinesky for airline rights.
