UK- and Austria-based sales company EastWest Filmdistribution has announced several sales on its trio of English-language comedies.
HBO Central Europe took rights to UK comedy 12 In A Box by John McKenzie. The black comedy stars Brian Mitchell, Anjella Mackintosh, Kenneth Collard, Katy Wix, Paul Williamson and Clare Welch.
Alexander Hahn's Latvia-set Midsummer Madness sold to Constantin to Austria, Project WE for Russia, and Acme for the Baltic States. The film's stars Maria de Medeiros, Dominique Pinon, Tobias Moretti and Detlev Buck will be in Berlin for Monday's screening.
Snow White The Sequel, an animated fairy tale for adults by Picha and a voice cast including Stephen Fry and Rik Mayall, pre-sold to Rezo Films for France and CineArt for Benelux and has now booked Berlin deals with Providence for Brazil and Project WE for Russia.
