Echo Bridge Entertainment has acquired two new films for worldwide sales at Cannes - Run For Her Life, an action thriller starring Dermot Mulroney and being directed by Iceland's Baltasar Kormakur, and martial arts thriller Unshakeable starring Russell Wong and Ving Rhames.
Kormakur, whose thriller Jar City was the top award-winner at Karlovy Vary last year, makes his second English-language film with Run For Her Life which is the story of an LA district attorney who in a desperate attempt to save his daughter from a rare disease, finds himself in the middle of a criminal medical ring in Mexico. Michelle Chydzik and Nathalie Marciano of 26 Films are producing the film which will start shooting in June.
Stanley J Orzel, who was a creative consultant on Hero and House Of Flying Daggers, wrote and is directing Unshakeable which shoots in Colombia in August.
