The festival, which runs March 8-18, is one of seven festivals supported by FSS.
Sales agents are given grants for promotional costs of up to $6,609 (Euros 5,000) per film.
As part of Mar Del Plata 's focus on Italy, FSS is supporting four Italian films: As the Shadow by Maria Spada, Quijote by Mimmo Paladino, Roses from the Desert by Mario Monicelli and Three Days of Anarchy by Vito Zigarrio. The films are sold by Film Kairos, Ananas, Adriana Chiesa Enterprises and Thulefilm, respectively.
The other films supported are Gyorgy Palfi's Taxidermia (sold by Fortissimo), Cesc Gay's Fiction (sold by Latido), Albert Serra's Honor Of The Knights (sold by Notro Films) and Teresina Moscatiello's Civilians On The Battlefields (sold by Sinafilm).
