India’s Eros International Media has acquired international distribution rights to upcoming action thriller Tezz, directed by Priyadarshan.

The film, which is scheduled for worldwide release on April 27, is produced by Venus Films and features an ensemble cast including South Indian actor Mohanlal and Bollywood stars Anil Kapoor, Ajay Devgan, Boman Irani and Kangna Ranaut.

“With its stylish look, great action and catchy music there is a positive buzz and anticipation around Tezz overseas,” said Eros International president of marketing and sales Pranab Kapadia.

Eros’ last major release was Agneepath, produced by Karan Johar and starring Hrithik Roshan, which grossed more than $3m from international markets on its opening weekend at the end of January.
