Eros International has picked up world rights to the first two productions from Salman Khan Films – Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Hero.
Currently in production, Bajrangi Bhaijaan is directed by Kabir Khan and revolves around a romance between a Muslim man and high-caste Hindu woman. Salman Khan stars with Kareena Kapoor and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
Scheduled for release during the Eid holiday in July 2015, the film is co-produced by Salman Khan Films and Rockline Venkatesh Films.
Nikhil Advani’s Hero, a contemporary remake of Subhash Ghai’s classic of the same name, is scheduled for release in summer 2015. Co-produced by Salman Khan Films and Ghai’s Mukta Arts, the film is launching two new actors – Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty.
“The combination of Salman, Kabir Khan, Eid and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, not only promises fans and audiences larger than life entertainment, but we also look to it setting new box office records as Salman did this year,” said Eros International group CEO Jyoti Deshpande.
“We are equally excited to launch bright new talent with Hero and are positive the audiences will embrace Nikhil’s interpretation of the classic musical romantic hit”.
