French actress Isabelle Huppert will be presented with a European achievement in world cinema award at the 22nd European Film Awards on 12 December.
Huppert, whose credits include The Pianist, Violette Noziere and most recently Ursula Meier’s Home, has picked up numerous accolades throughout her career, including the Cesar, the Lumiere and best actress prizes at Cannes, Berlin, Montreal, Venice and San Sebastian.
She headed the Cannes jury earlier this year, and was honoured by the Montreal Film Festival for her achievements in film in 2008.
The EFA has also previously announced that it will honour British film-maker Ken Loach with a lifetime achievement award.
