Backers of struggling Spanish digital terrestrial television (DTT) platform Quiero TV have approved a capital increase worth Euros 300m.
In a statement, Quiero said the increase - which will be carried out before February 15, - "guarantees the continuity" of the platform.
Local press suggested the new capital increase was a means of ensuring the short-term viability of Quiero in order to facilitate its sale.
Majority backer Auna has been seeking a buyer for Quiero for over a year, with France's Bouygues and US firm Echostar considered potential buyers.
