The Evolution Mallorca International Film Festival will screen the winners of the 2013 edition at a special screening in Hollywood on August 27.
Fernando Frias’ Rezeta (Mexico) earned best feature film and best director prizes and other winners included:
La Boda (Spain) by Marta Seresesky for best short film; Not Anymore, A Story Of Revolution (USA) for best short documentary; Kaled Al Ghwairi of Ismail (Yemen) for best actor in a short film; Steffi Kühnert of Die Frau Die Sich Traut (Germany) for best actress in a short film; and Tom Fährmann for best cinematography for Frau Die Sich Traut (Germany).
The audience favourite was Marcos Cabota’s 24 Horas Con Lucia.
Cuban-Spanish actress Ana De Armas (pictured) will be in attendance. De Armas will next be seen in 2015 releases Hands Of Stone starring Robert De Niro and Knock Knock with keanu Reeves,
The 2014 festival will take place on the island of Mallorca from November 6-10. The festival launched in 2012 and organisers say they have seen a steady rise in attendance.
