Screen talked to Screen Scotland executive director, Isabel Davis (the former head of international at the BFI), about Scotland’s growing film and TV production sector.

Launched in 2018, Screen Scotland is the identity for Scotland’s public sector and industry partnership, with an enhanced budget of $26m (£20m) per year over five years.
Speaking at the Berlin Film Festival, Davis explained the diverse landscape of the Scottish industry, from the largest production Scotland’s ever seen, Netflix’s Outlaw King with Chris Pine, to an international shoot like The Wife starring the Oscar-nominated Glen Close, to new generations of Scottish talent present at the European Film Market (EFM) in Berlin.
