Festival’s film section runs May 24 to June 2 at King’s College London.
Zhou Hao’s Emergency Room China [pictured] will receive its world premiere as the opening film of the film section of the Chinese Visual Festival, which takes place at King’s College London.
This year’s edition will screen 29 films, featuring 26 UK premieres, with the festival selecting their first-ever animations and fiction films.
Zhou is one of four documentary filmmakers attending the festival, along with Wu Wuna from Taiwan, and Tammy Cheung and Wong Yee Mei from Hong Kong, who will all take part in Q&A sessions and talks.
As well as the film programme, which runs May 24-June 2, the festival is working with King’s Cultural Institute to present Objects of Fantasy, the first solo exhibition for Chinese artist Wang Yuyang at the Inigo Rooms, Somerset House East Wing from May 8-June 12.
