Future Shorts ONE, a monthly global event showcasing the best in short film, live music and interactive design, will take place in 60 cities and 12 countries this Saturday.
Future Shorts ONE, a monthly global event showcasing the best in short film, live music and interactive design, will take place in 60 cities and 12 countries this Saturday.
London has hosted the event since 2003, but it was launched globally last November. Along with the screenings, there is also live music and interactive design shows and the event usually takes place in arts centres, bars or movie theatres across the world.
This month, the best short films of 2010 will be screened, including Michael Gondry’s Open Your Heart, Toby Dye’s Paradise Circus, Grzegorz Muskala’s The Girl With The Yellow Stockings and Sean Ellis’ Voyage D’Affaires. Future Shorts has a Twitter wall and Facebook group where attendants from around the world can communicate with each other and discuss the shorts.
The London event will feature a surprise band and a group performing animation with paper and shadows.
Future Shorts is a worldwide film festival as well as a distributor, sales agent, consultancy service and DVD label.
