The films will screen on November 7 at The Egyptian and November 9 at the TCL Chinese Theatre, respectively.

Festival top brass also announced on Monday the Special Screenings selection, which includes Andrew Haigh’s 45 Years, Charlie Kaufman and Duke Johnson’s Anomalisa and Todd Haynes’ Carol.
The programme include Last Days In The Desert by AFI Rodrigo Garcia, The Lobster by Yorgos Lanthimos, Macbeth by Justin Kurzel and Werner Herzog’s Queen Of The Desert.
As previously announced the eight-day festival opens on November 5 with Angelina Jolie Pitt’s By The Sea and closes on November 12 with ensemble drama The Big Short.
Organisers will announced the full line-up on October 21. AFI FEST runs from November 5-12.
