Five or six films in post production will be presented.
The Locarno Film Festival will focus on films from Chile in the third edition of its industry initiative Carte Blanche.
The programme presents films in post-production from a particular country in Asia, Africa, Latin America or south-east Europe.
Thanks to a partnership with CinemaChile and Australab, Carte Blanche will present five or six films in post-production to industry professionals. A jury composed of film industry professionals will then award a cash prize of 10’000 CHF to the best film.
Past countries spotlighted are Colombia and Mexico.
The initiative is supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA).
Locarno’s 66th edition runs Aug 7-17.
