Forum, which presents film programmes, exhibitions and discussions, holds its eighth edition at the 2013 Berlinale and will also pay tribute to Brazilian artist Hélio Oiticica
New films from Isabella Rossellini [pictured] and Richard Foreman will be showcased during the eighth Forum Expanded, taking place during the 2013 Berlinale.
Rossellini’s Mammas, a continuation of the Green Porno series of short films, will receive its world premiere with a live piano accompaniment by the composer of the film music Marc Chouarain, while Foreman’s Once Every Day - his first in over 30 years - will receive its European premiere at HAU Hebbel am Ufer.
The 2013 Forum Expanded will also pay tribute to Brazilian artist Hélio Oiticica, who died in 1980. Included in the programme is a screening of Hélio Oiticica, a documentary by Cesar Oiticica Filho, the artist’s nephew and curator for his estate, and a selection of historical Super 8 film material with and by Oiticica, with a panel discussion with art historian Sabeth Buchman.
Forum Expanded is curated by Stefanie Schulte Strathaus (head curator), Anselm Franke, Nanna Heidenreich, Bettina Steinbrügge and Ulrich Ziemons.
