Sarajevo Film Festival has announced its feature, documentary and short film competition juries.
The feature competition jury will be headed by Cristi Puiu whose Aurora will be screened in the festival’s Focus section. Other four members are the Turkish actress Saadet Isil Askoy who had debuted in Semih Kaplanoglu’s Egg with the role which brought her the Heart of Sarajevo for best actress in 2007; Croatian actor Leon Lucev who won the Heart of Sarajevo for best actor in 2008 for Goran Rusinovic’s Buick Riviera; Rachel Rosen, the director of programming at the San Francisco Film Society; and Killer Films producer Christine Vachon (Far From Heaven, Boys Don’t Cry).
The documentary competition jury will comprise Croatian director, producer and co-founder of ZagrebDox festival Dana Budisavljevic; Catherine Le Clef, the president and founder of the Paris-based documentary world sales agent CAT&Docs; and Esther Van Messel, producer and founder of the Swiss-based sales agent First Hand Films.
Bosnian conceptual artist Danica Dakic, Rotterdam’s short film section programmer Erwin van’t Hart and film commissioner of the Danish Film Institute Molly Malene Stensgaard will make up the short film competition jury.
The Sarajevo Film Festival runs July 23-31.
