Sheffield Doc/Fest’s second CrossoverMarket will now offer one winner a €3000 cash award for the first Ramillas Sheffield Interactive Fund.

Five projects in the CrossoverMarket will be invited to pitch on stage in a public event during Sheffield Doc/Fest, and one winner will be selected.

Ramillas is an angel investor seeking to co-finance and co-produce original interactive documentaries.

Sheffield Doc/Fest’s MeetMarket is now open for submissions, through March 20. The Crossover Market, for projects led by digital or interactive media, will close its submissions on Feb 21. Crossover is open to international applications for the first time this year.

Doc/Fest deputy director Charlie Phillips said: “We work year round to ensure that the Doc/Fest marketplace offers bespoke pitching opportunities that work for each and every project. It’s especially gratifying that MeetMarket’s year-on-year success means we consistently attract top drawer projects and Decision Makers, and I’m also very pleased that we’ve been able to extend our reach with the Crossover Market - which now includes projects from anywhere in the world - and offers a unique opportunity for interactive filmmakers to connect with the right people.”

MeetMarket 2014 will be held June 9-10, with CrossoverMarket scheduled for June 7.
