15th edition of the Udine Far East Film Festival to feature two world premieres and 19 European premieres.

Ryoo Seung-wan’s The Berlin File [pictured] is to receive its European premiere as the opening film of this year’s Udine Far East Film Festival, which runs April 19-27.

The thriller is one of 19 European premieres at this year’s edition, which will also feature two world premieres: Satoshi Miki’s It’s Me, It’s Me and Kankuro Kudo’s Maruyama, The Middle Schooler.

Other films screening at Udine include Xu Zheng’s Chinese mega-hit Lost in Thailand, Herman Yau’s Ip Man - The Final Fight, Rapeepimol Chaiyasena’s 9-9-81 and Ronny Yu’s Saving General Yang.

The festival will also remember Mario O’Hara with a screening of Demons (2000) and will also host a King Hu retrospective featuring My Lucky Star (1963), A Touch of Zen (1971) and Raining in the Mountain (1979).

Guests attending this year’s edition include Herman Yau, Lu Chuan, Ryoo Seung-wan, Park Hoon-jung and Nattawut “Baz” Poonpiriya.
