The eighth edition of India's biggest convention on the entertainment business, Ficci Frames, will take place March 25-27 in Mumbai.
Around 2,500 delegates from almost 20 countries are expected to attend some 30 seminars and panel discussions covering aspects of the media and entertainment industries - including films, television, digital entertainment, animation and visual effects.
Organised by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce (Ficci), Frames also hosts a market area for the promotion of goods and services, and offers opportunities for networking.
The inaugural session is expected to be attended by India's minister for information and broadcasting Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi, Yash Raj Films chairman Yash Chopra and Sony Entertainment Television CEO Kunal Dasgupta. Viviane Reding, EC commissioner for information society and media, is the guest of honour.
A session entitled VFX - Making Possible The Impossible will be conducted by visual effects masters Jim Rygiel and Christian Rivers, who both worked on The Lord Of The Rings series. The conference also hosts the Ficci Best Animated Frames (BAF) Awards, which recognise excellence in animation.
