The fifth annual Korean American Film Festival (KAFFNY) in New York will stage a retrospective of six films from documentary filmmaker Dai Sil Kim-Gibson.
Special guest and long-time collaborator Charles Burnett will join the director of 2000’s Silence Broken: Korean Comfort Women for an on-stage discussion.
KAFFNY will open with a live re-score of the 1956 Korean drama Madame Freedom and will screen more than 14 films in total.
The line-up includes Red Chapel, The Boat and The Woman, The Orphan And The Tiger. KAFFNY is set to run from Mar 17-20.
