Music supervision and publishing company Cutting Edge has acquired Air-Edel Associates and Air-Edel Recording Studios from the Sanctuary Group.
Air Edel was founded by George Martin and Herman Edel and is now run by Maggie Rodford. The company manages composers and provides music supervision for film, TV and video games. Its roster of composers includes Patrick Doyle, Dario Marinelli and Christian Henson.
Phil Hope, managing director of Cutting Edge, said: 'We are delighted to bring Maggie Rodford, her team at Air-Edel and their roster of fantastic talent into the Cutting Edge group of companies. Their unrivalled position in the provision of music to the worlds of film, television, games and commercials will be a tremendous asset to our business. Following our recent addition of Liz Gallacher Music Supervision this acquisition brings us closer to achieving our goal of becoming the pre-eminent provider of music to picture.'
