Carey Mulligan and Robert Pattinson will star in James Marsh’s thriller in the vein of To Die For. CAA represents US rights.
Brad Ingelsby wrote the screenplay based on the true story of a femme fatale who goes on a crime spree after she is rejected by her former boyfriend. The project was previously called Nancy And Danny.
Alexandra Milchan will produce alongside Todd Field as well as Steve Rales and Mark Roybal of Indian Paintbrush.
“Hold On To Me is a compelling and sexy modern day Bonnie And Clyde story that we’re excited to introduce to buyers at AFM,” said FilmNation’s Glen Basner, who will handle intenational sales. “Carey Mulligan is certain to deliver one of the most memorable femme fatale performances in cinematic history”.
Mulligan plays a small town girl who dumps her boyfriend in pursuit of a modelling career in New York. When she returns with her tail between her legs and gets rejected by her ex, now a wealthy criminal living in Chicago, she enlists the help of a naive man and embarks on a life of crime.
