Glen Basner’s New York-based FilmNation has completed key sales heading into AFM on Sanctum, the 3D deep sea diving adventure that James Cameron is producing.
Shooting is set to start on November 30 on the project about a fateful diving expedition. Alister Grierson is directing.
Universal has acquired rights for the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Canada, Metropolitan for France, Constantin for Germany, Eagle for Italy, and Aurum for Spain.
Basner has sold rights to Top Film for CIS, Svensk for Scandinavia, Mars for South Korea, Lusomundo for Portugal, Paradiso for Benelux, Odeon for Greece, Golden Village for Singapore, Shani Films for Israel and Italia for the Middle East.
Edko Films has taken Sanctum for Hong Kong, Revolutionary Releasing for Eastern Europe, R Film for Turkey, Sun Distribution for Latin America, Golden Screen for Malaysia, Pioneer for the Philippines, and Serenity and Sahamongkol for Thailand.
