At the Fipresci Grand Prix vote, Cristian Mungiu's Romanian abortion drama 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days (4 Luni, 3 Saptamini si 2 Zile) has been named best film of the year.
The vote reflects 248 members of the International Federation of Film Critics.
Other top films in the vote were: The Queen, Letters From Iwo Jima, Still Life, and Syndromes And A Century.
The Fipresci Grand Prix will be presented at the San Sebastian Film Festival's opening gala on Sept 20. The Cannes Palme d'Or winner is also opening San Sebastian 's Zabaltegi-Pearl section that day and will compete for the festival's audience award.
