Film directors Benedek Fliegauf (Hungary), Cristi Puiu (Romania) and Albertina Carri (Argentina) are have been recruited as members of two official juries at this year's Locarno International Film Festival (August 6-16).
Fliegauf, who won the Filmmakers of the Present competition Leopard last year for Milky Way and will be the subject of a dedicated Portrait at next month's goEast festival in Wiesbaden, will be in the jury for the 2008 Filmmakers of the Present competition with French filmmaker-musician Bertrand Bonello, the Argentinian auteur director Albertina Carri (La Rabia), Brazil's Cao Guimaraes (Andarilho) and Swiss rock musician Franz Treichler.
Puiu will joined on the jury of the Leopard for Best First Film from the festival's two feature film competitions by Italian director Corso Salani (Imatra) and producer Marianne Slot.
