Tine Klint (pictured), the former head of sales of Nordisk Film and TrustNordisk, has launched a new Scandinavian sales company.

LevelK will take its market bow at Berlin next February and its initial slate includes Norwegian director Gunnar Vikene’s Vegas, which was named best film for Young Audiences at the Black Nights Film Festival in Tallinn last weekend.

Other titles represented by the company include Giacomo Campeotto’s Storm; Johan Melin’s Prophecy (Profetia); Theis Mølstrøm Christensen’s No Time for Love (Simon & Malou); Iranian-Swedish director Nahid Persson’s documentary, Prostitution-Behind the Veil, and drama-comedy Lærkevej.

Klint, who wholly owns the company, says she anticipates building up a 50-strong catalogue, which will include features, documentaries and TV, by the end of next year. The slate will be promoted at festivals and markets as well as on her secured website, Buyers Lounge & Screening Room.

She told ScreenDaily: “I will be looking for challenging quality product, films by new directors who could make it through the needle’s eye to world-wide success. At the same time LevelK will be very distributor-oriented, trying to serve the clients’ specific needs.”
